Baked Animal Apples
MAKES 4 BAKED APPLES
4 cooking apples
2tbsp walnuts, chopped
3tbsp muscovado sugar
4 FISHLY SNACKS COOKIES
Vanilla ice cream, to serve
- Wash and core each apple, then preheat the oven to 150°C/300°F/Gas Mark 2.
- Mix all the other ingredients (except the FISHLY SNACKS COOKIES) together in a bowl to form a thick paste. Place the apples right side up in an ovenproof dish or tin and stuff the centre of each of the cored apples with the paste.
- Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes, until the apple flesh is soft and the top is brown and caramelised.
- Serve with a FISHLY SNACKS COOKIE propped into the apple tops and with a good scoop of vanilla ice cream.
