Baked Animal Apples
Ingredients

MAKES 4 BAKED APPLES

  • 4 cooking apples
  • 2tbsp raisins
  • 2tbsp walnuts, chopped
  • 3tbsp muscovado sugar
  • 3tbsp butter
  • 4 FISHLY SNACKS COOKIES
  • Vanilla ice cream, to serve

Method

  1. Wash and core each apple, then preheat the oven to 150°C/300°F/Gas Mark 2.
  2. Mix all the other ingredients (except the FISHLY SNACKS COOKIES) together in a bowl to form a thick paste. Place the apples right side up in an ovenproof dish or tin and stuff the centre of each of the cored apples with the paste.
  3. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes, until the apple flesh is soft and the top is brown and caramelised.
  4. Serve with a FISHLY SNACKS COOKIE propped into the apple tops and with a good scoop of vanilla ice cream.
